Cisneros Socks 2 Home Runs in 7-1 Alaskan Win
|
Boosted by the 2-hit performance of Júlio Cisneros, who is tied for 2nd in the SA in extra base hits with 35, the Alaskan Bush Pilots defeated the Grim Reapers, 7-1. Alaskan starter Chris Waters was credited with the win after throwing 99 pitches over 6.1 innings. His record now stands at 5-5. Adyota Surekha closed the game out for Alaskan, earning his 2nd save.
In the bottom of the sixth, Grady McCarty delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 2nd, the Alaskan left fielder hit a run-scoring single, putting the Bush Pilots in front, 7-1.
"It was a good win," said Alaskan manager Arturo Montáñez. "Not without blemish, but good."
After today's action, Alaskan sits at 50-46, while Grim falls to 36-60.
