With third baseman Octávio Gutiérrez leading the charge, the Northwest Territory Beavers got a road win over the Redwood Rhinos, 9-2, in Game 2 of the PL R Championchip. Gutiérrez went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once at The Zoo to help Northwest Territory force a 1-1 tie in the best-of-3 series.

In the top of the fifth, Northwest Territory catcher Pat Wallace had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out, Wallace stroked a run-scoring single to right. It made the score 3-2, Northwest Territory. For the game, he was 3-5 with 3 singles.
