The Philadelphia Liberty U-21 pulled out all the stops tonight, winning the SL R Championship in a hard-fought series with the Beaumont Crossbeaus.

It was a seesaw affair, but with a 3-2 victory at The Target, Philadelphia lay claim to the franchise's 6th championship.

"There's no denying we faced a tough opponent," said Martín Machado. "But as the old saying goes, 'when the going gets tough, the tough get going,' and that's what we did today."

The champs finished the regular season 65-31 and claimed first place in the Silver Low A.

A victory parade is set to be scheduled in Philadelphia in the days to come.
