Road Win Lifts Delmarva to 1-0 Lead in R1
With catcher Ray McKenzie leading the charge, the Delmarva Gallos got a road win over the Walla Walla Walleye, 5-4, in Game 1 of the SL A Championship. McKenzie went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs at Walleye Tank to help Delmarva take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-3 series.

There was more than one reason the Gallos beat the Walleye, but McKenzie's big at-bat in the top of the second was an important factor. He staked his team to a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run double.

Delmarva manager Félix Martínez praised his team's "businesslike approach."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Walleye Tank in Walla Walla.
