Almost There: Boston On Cusp of R3 Triumph After 8-6 Win
Riding the 2-hit performance of catcher Lance Slaymaker, the Boston Patriots got a road win against the Buffalo White Walkers, 8-6, in Game 4 of the Tournament of Champions. Slaymaker was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times for the Patriots, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 1.

In the top of the second, Boston right fielder Chong-hun Chon had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Chon stroked a 2-run single to left. It made the score 3-1, Boston. For the game, he went 2 for 5 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Slaymaker.

Game 5 is scheduled for Friday at Dunkin Donuts Park in Boston.
