Bad Behavior Costs Dotson and Snart Saturday, July 21st, 2040 Yesterday at Evergreen Park Billy Dotson and Burm Snart got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Portland Evergreens and Las Vegas Flamingos. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Dotson will have to sit out 4 while Snart would be given a 2-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. This year Dotson is batting .206 with 14 home runs. He has scored 24 runs and driven in 32. Snart has taken the hill for 18 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 1-1 record with a 5.28 ERA. The Las Vegas reliever has limited opposing batters to a .291 batting average. |
