Veteran Davis Hits Three Dingers
Monday, August 9th, 2038
Whatever Wilbur Davis ate for breakfast before his game against the Chicago Silver Sox today, it gave him some impressive power.

The Boston left fielder smacked three balls up and out of the park at Dunkin Donuts Park. His home run barrage led the Patriots to take the 12-1 victory over the Silver Sox.

"When they throw it in your wheelhouse, you've got a shot at a homer," he told BNN reporters after the game. "I got three shots today and nailed them all."

On his 3-homer day, he went 4-for-5, scored 4 times, drove in 4 and put on a display that history will remember.

Wilbur Davis hit a solo-shot off Fred Proctor in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Julián Moreno in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Forest Stanley in the 8th.

This season Davis has delivered 57 hits in 198 at-bats for a .288 average with 12 home runs. He is getting on base at a .355 clip and his totals also include 31 RBIs and 32 runs scored. This year Davis has played in 54 games.
