Jonas van Claveren Injured, Out for Season Thursday, August 25th, 2044 Jonas van Claveren of the Lighthouse just might have to call it quits for the season. The 30-year-old Long Island third baseman received a possible season-ending injury against the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids recently at Atlantica. van Claveren suffered a strained groin muscle while stealing a base. The Lighthouse medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 4-5 weeks. For the season van Claveren has hit .306 with 13 home runs and 62 RBIs. He has played in 85 games and scored 55 times. |
