Vancouver Hurler Wins Rookie Award Wednesday, September 1st, 2038 Yes, Arnie Harper is just a rookie. But he is a special rookie. Today the 25-year-old Vancouver starter was awarded the United States Premier League Rookie of the Month trophy for his standout performance in August. He dominated the rookie class, registering 2 wins and no losses in 5 starts with 14 strikeouts in 28.1 innings and a 3.49 ERA. Not bad for a first-year man. Currently Harper has a 6-6 won-lost record in 18 starts with a 4.02 ERA. He also has 61 strikeouts in 103 innings. |
