At the age of 24, Rafael Santiago says he still has a lot to learn about life in M3L Single A.

But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Mt. Vernon Bulls reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2038 M3L Single A Reliever of the Year Award.

"I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the Yara, Cuba native said.

For the season, Santiago had 1 save in 27 relief appearances, which totaled 55.1. He fanned 84 betters, while walking 12 and put up a record of 3-2 to go with his 1.46 ERA.

He received 7 first place votes out of a possible 12. Maverick McNealy of the Louisiana Dragoons finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while Nolan Bullock of the Louisiana Dragoons finished third.
