Kirby, Garza Suspended for Fracas Sunday, June 5th , 2061 After an intense confrontation, both the Hermit Crabs Don Kirby and the Yinzers José Garza were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Huntington-Monroeville game. Don Kirby will miss 4 games, while José Garza was suspended for 8 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Don Kirby commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." So far this season, Kirby is hitting .167 with 1 home run, 2 RBIs and 6 runs scored. He has 13 hits in 78 at-bats and a .283 OBP. |
