Season May Be Over for Blue Dragons Carpenter
Monday, July 3rd , 2062
The doctors have spoken and James Carpenter of the Levittown Blue Dragons didn't like what he heard. The 22-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Carpenter sustained his season-ending injury during the Alaskan Bush Pilots game yesterday at Bush Pilots Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Levittown medical staff reported Carpenter had bone chips in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months.
In 10 starts this season, Carpenter has fashioned a 2-4 record and a 3.43 ERA.
