To get his name logged in the USSL Single A records, he stopped Walla Walla cold and hitless, surrendering 4 walks and fanning 8 of the 33 batters he faced. Pontiac manager John Moss was in a jovial mode after the game, kidding with reporters that Suárez "made managing easy today." "I didn't have hardly any decisions to make like I usually do," he said.
