3-HR Day for Rothrock Sunday, June 15th , 2059 The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Larry Rothrock did at Torch Field, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 7-1. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Rothrock said. "Good things happen, when that happens." The Smoky Mountain Hobeaus center fielder blistered the Mancelona Torch for 4 hits, batted in 6 runs and scored 3 times. "It ain't like we weren't trying," Mancelona manager Eric Craft said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today." Larry Rothrock hit a solo-shot off William Maxwell in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off José Herrera in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off José Herrera in the 9th. In 2059 Rothrock has hit at a .223 clip with 27 hits, 8 home runs, 15 RBIs and has scored 17 times. |
