Hubbard Named SA's #1 Hurler Wednesday, September 28th, 2039 Rick Hubbard was the most outstanding pitcher in the USSL Single A this year and today was acclaimed the Outstanding Pitcher Award winner for his efforts. Hubbard had a marvelous season, going 7-7 with an impressive 2.23 ERA in 19 starts. He struck out 132 in 133 innings and limited opposing batters to a .214 batting average. He received 8 first place votes out of a possible 10. Shawn Hanna of the Syracuse Storm finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Joop Els of the Rocky Mountain Vibes finished third.
