Hobeaus Lose Cruz for Season Tuesday, August 21st , 2063 Jaime Cruz has to call it a season. The Smoky Mountain Hobeaus starting pitcher sustained a season-ending injury against the Walla Walla Walleye and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Cruz was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a ruptured tricep tendon and stated that he would not be able to play for 6 months. This year, Cruz has a 3-7 mark in 17 starts with a 4.32 ERA. He has given up 111 hits in 102 innings, struck out 84 and issued 32 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .271 batting average against him. |
