Saturday, September 3rd , 2061
The season is finished for Robert Martin of the Monroeville Yinzers. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Yinzers starting pitcher suffered a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Philadelphia Liberty U-24. Team doctors said it would take at least 6-7 months to heal.
In 7 starts this season, Martin has gathered 4 wins while suffering 2 losses. He has pitched 45.2 innings, allowed 45 hits, struck out 38 and has a 3.94 ERA.
