Philadelphia's Miller Takes Best Pitcher Prize

Bryan Miller of the Liberty U-24 humbled hitters all season long and today celebrated as he hauled in the USSL Single A Pitcher of the Year trophy, the coveted Outstanding Pitcher Award.

The Philadelphia hurler held opposing hitters to a .204 batting average while putting up a 10-3 record and a 2.23 earned run average. He started 19 games, pitched 125.1 innings and struck out 115.

He received 8 first place votes out of a possible 10. Tony Smith of the Walla Walla Walleye finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Lu-po-teh Fong of the Walla Walla Walleye finished third.
