DH Miyazaki Receives 2-Game Suspension Wednesday, May 18th , 2061 Shigenobu Miyazaki of the Grand Forks Caterpillars became belligerent after a third-strike call in the game against Philadelphia yesterday at Liberty Youth Field. Today, the Caterpillars designated hitter addressed his battle with the umps and the ejection that resulted in a 2-game suspension by the league. Miyazaki said the league report submitted to the league by the umpiring crew did not tell whole story. "They conveniently left out the names they called me." In a statement the league said the suspension was because Miyazaki returned to the field after the first argument had subsided. Miyazaki is batting .195 this year with 2 home runs, 2 RBIs and 3 runs scored. He has 8 hits in 41 at-bats. |
