Season May Be Over for Walleye O'Reilly
Tuesday, June 7th, 2039
Walla Walla reliever John O'Reilly could miss the remainder of the season because of an arthritic elbow. He exited yesterday's Eugene game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said O'Reilly would be out 6 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."

To this point in the season, O'Reilly has rung up 1 save in 7 relief appearances. He has also crafted a 2.38 ERA, 1 win and no losses and 9 strikeouts in 11.1 innings.
