The Dirty Reds starting pitcher suffered a torn back muscle during a game against the Charleston Battery and will be out for at least 4-5 months. Club officials told BNN they do not expect him to return to the team this season. This year Machen has made 9 starts, thrown 41 innings, fanned 25 batters and walked 14. His won-lost record is 2-1 with a 4.39 ERA. |
