César Sandoval Hurt, Out for Year Saturday, July 4th , 2048
The doctors have spoken and César Sandoval of the Baltimore Bullets didn't like what he heard. The 34-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Sandoval sustained his season-ending injury during the Pittsburgh Kingfishers game yesterday at Pittsburgh Grounds. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Baltimore medical staff reported Sandoval had a torn meniscus and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4 months.
So far this season Sandoval has a 3-3 record with a 5.19 ERA.
