Veteran Moore Hits Three Dingers
Saturday, August 25th, 2040
Players don't hit three home runs in a game very often and when they do, it is something to celebrate. After today, Phil Moore can celebrate.

The Philadelphia 1776 BC third baseman powered three into the stands at Ben Franklin Memorial Coliseum today against the Oakland Oaks.

"It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run," Moore told reporters after the game. "Most of the time you fail, if you really try to hit one. But today, I was really trying on that last one."

In all, he was 3-for-4 as the BC toppled Oakland by a score of 7-1, knocking in 5 runs and scoring 3 times.

"He is blessed with a natural home run swing," Philadelphia 1776 manager Mack Kilkeary said. "He gets the ball up in the air."

Phil Moore hit a two-run home run off Jamie Hunter in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jamie Hunter in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Hendrikjan Zweers in the 5th, walked in the 7th and flied out in the 8th.

This season Moore has 5 home runs and a .236 batting average.
