SL Announces August's Best Starter Wednesday, September 1st, 2038 Juan Guillén's been around the league long enough to appreciate the honor he received today. After going 4-1 in August, the 34-year-old Buffalo hurler has been named United States Silver League Pitcher of the Month. He fanned 28 in 31.1 innings, logged an ERA of 3.16 and allowed opponents to hit .248 against him. To date this season Guillén is 8-5 with 15 starts and an ERA of 4.43 with 63 strikeouts in 83.1 innings. |
