Biggs Belts Bunch of Base Hits Wednesday, September 14th, 2044 It was a sensational day at the plate for Alfred Howard Biggs as he led the charge to a 8-7 win over the Divided. The Toledo second baseman was pure misery for the D.C. pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 6 hits in 7 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Biggs put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Jonathan Gerth, manager for the Divided, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Alfred Howard Biggs doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th, doubled in the 11th and grounded out in the 13th.
