Mndoyants Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games Sunday, September 25th, 2044 With 1 hit at Lang Park today, Tosya Mndoyants added another game to his hitting streak -- the Athletic Club KC second baseman has now hit safely for 20 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Athletic Club KC today, as they fell, 5-2, to the San Mateo Dirty Reds. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," San Mateo manager Dean Ashley said later. "I'll let him get 3 hits in 3 at-bats if it means we get a win." Tosya Mndoyants flied out in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 5th and flied out in the 7th. Thus far this year Mndoyants is batting .356 with 9 home runs, 50 RBIs and 61 runs scored. |
