Herrera Grabs SL 2035 Rookie Honors Tuesday, October 30th, 2035 The brightest new star in the United States Silver League has been named. The 2035 Newcomer of the Year Award has been handed out to Thunder Bay's right fielder Jorge Herrera, who outshined all his first-year peers in the balloting and on the diamond. He hit .260 for the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, racking up 91 hits, 19 home runs, 50 RBIs, and 46 runs scored to capture the trophy. Sébastien Cornu of the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC finished second in voting, while Ramón Padilla of the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC finished third. |
