Northern Lions BC Herrera Named SL's #1 Player Monday, June 8th, 2037 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the United States Silver League, but last week Jorge Herrera of the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Herrera rocked opposing pitching for a .545 average (12-for-22), 3 home runs and 8 RBIs to come away with the award. Presently Herrera is batting .292 with 8 home runs and 26 RBIs. He has played in 30 games and scored 25 times. |
