Ft. Worth, Athletic Club KC Swap Players Monday, April 30th , 2046 You can't always get what you want, but sometimes you find a deal anyway. The Baseball News Network is reporting that Ft. Worth and Athletic Club KC have made a swap with 36-year old RHP Seung Pak being shipped to the Athletic Club KC and in return the Cattlemen would get 24-year old minor league LF Ross Evans. Ft. Worth general manager Scott Thompson said the two sides were close to a blockbuster trade before agreeing upon a smaller scale transaction. "This is just a bit of housekeeping compared to what we wanted to do," he said. "I won't name names, but the potential deal we were close to making would have certainly grabbed some headlines." A source inside the Ft. Worth organization said the two sides might not be done dealing, and another transaction could be in the works. Pak's career stats show a 7-6 record, 76 appearances, 8 saves and a 5.54 ERA. He has 111 strikeouts in 91 innings pitched. |
