Johnston Whitewashes Northern Virginia Sunday, May 24th , 2054 In an excellent mound performance, Tom Johnston of the Toledo Stingers whitewashed the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids 10-0 on a 3-hitter. "I had my best stuff and did a good job of mixing up my pitches," he said after the game. In all, the Toledo hurler rang up 7 strikeouts and no walks in the shutout win.
