Hits Galore: Iolana Drills 5 Hits Friday, July 1st, 2044 It was a sensational day at the plate for San Mateo Dirty Reds shortstop Kalino Iolana, but a tough one for the team, as the Dirty Reds dropped the contest 8-7 to the Cleveland Browns. Even with the loss, Iolana was pure misery for the Cleveland pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked after going 5-for-5 in an explosive display of hitting. "It's always good to get a bunch of hits in a game, but you also want to win," said Iolana, who is the 21-year old shortstop . "Iolana really hit the ball hard and when you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage," Browns manager Greg Diersing told BNN reporters after the game. "I feel like we threw him some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Kalino Iolana singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Guillermo Guerrero in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
