Grey Wolves End Volkoff's Streak Tuesday, July 28th, 2043 The Nashville Outlaws lost to the Vancouver Grey Wolves 4-0 today at Wolf Den in Vancouver, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Nikolai Volkoff's 21-game hitting streak. The first baseman went 0-for-3 on the day. "We felt if we could slow down Volkoff, we would win the game," Grey Wolves manager David Krause explained. "They really seemed to feed off his streak, so we tried to put more emphasis on shutting him down." Presently Volkoff is batting .348 and has collected 12 home runs, 57 RBIs, .385 OBP and scored 43 runs. |
