3L's Top Hitter Announced Monday, July 1st , 2047 Kanko Umaba received the Menard's Third League Batter of the Month trophy earlier today for his efforts at the plate this last month. "He might be getting older," Buffalo's manager told reporters, "But he's been around long enough to know what it takes to put a stretch such as this together... and he doesn't keep that to himself. He's always talking to the younger guys in the clubhouse helping 'em any way they'll let him. Kanko's value to our team goes farther than the numbers he puts up on the field." To win the honor Umaba put up a .367 batting average, 7 home runs, 29 RBIs and scored 20 times in June. So far this season Umaba is batting .329 with 13 home runs. |
