Injury Takes Toll, Gunner Cross Out Monday, September 29th, 2042 A blow for Gunner Cross today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 2-3 months with acute elbow soreness. Cross suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Panama City Piranhas are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Cross's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. This season Cross has been credited with 18 saves in 59 relief appearances. In 102 innings he has a 9-3 won-lost mark, 3.26 ERA and 118 strikeouts |
