Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Smythe
Monday, September 14th, 2043
The Nova Scotia Leviathan may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 4-3 to the Toledo Stingers, but Tom Smythe continued to hit like a god.

The left fielder collected 1 hit in 5 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games.

"Smythe is playing great and is on fire right now," Leviathan manager Andrew Powell said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins."

Smythe was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss."
Tom Smythe struck out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and flied out in the 9th.

So far this year Smythe is hitting .369 with 16 home runs.
