Thunder Bay, Pittsburgh Make Deal Wednesday, August 4th , 2049 It likely won't turn either team into an instant contender or provide a huge franchise shakeup, but the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC and Pittsburgh Kingfishers finalized a trade today. Thunder Bay will send 32-year old LF Keaton Kringlen to the Kingfishers, while the Northern Lions BC will receive 31-year old CF William Penn and 19-year old minor league SS Celestino Canova. "We think this is a deal that will help out both teams and we're glad to get it done," Northern Lions BC general manager Scott Williams said. The trade is expected to be officially completed later today with the players joining their new ballclubs by the end of the day. Thunder Bay will retain a portion of Kringlen's remaining contract. Thus far this year Kringlen has hit .268 with 20 home runs and 60 RBIs. Penn is hitting at a .204 mark this season. His stats show no home runs, 2 RBIs and 6 runs scored. He has played 22 games for the Northern Lions BC. |
