Veteran Martínez Hits Three Dingers Friday, September 2nd, 2039 It was a good day for the Toledo Stingers and an exceptional one for Alfredo Martínez. The 34-year-old right fielder sent three bombs out of the park to help the Stingers beat the Seattle Rocketeers 19-8 at Pacesetter Park. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Martínez said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 4 times, drove in 5 runs and smacked 3 hits in 6 at-bats. Alfredo Martínez grounded out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Dave O'Neil in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Oliver Rodríguez in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Min-chor Chon in the 8th.
