Veteran Martínez Hits Three Dingers Sunday, September 4th, 2039 The Houston 1837 BBC won't soon forget the display of raw power put on today by Alfredo Martínez of the Toledo Stingers. He victimized the 1837 BBC by pounding three pitches out of Houston Grounds to spark his club to the 8-0 win. "I got three pitches down the pipe and popped them," Martínez told reporters. "Today I was in a groove. Tomorrow, I could just pop up the same pitches and go 0-for-3." In addition to the homers, he collected 4 RBIs and scored 4 runs. Alfredo Martínez hit a solo-shot off Timoteo Sassetti in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Alfredo Córdova in the 4th, walked in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Gil Herrera in the 7th.
