"It means I'm wanted somewhere. At least one team sees potential in me." Those were the comments heard after the New Orleans Voodoo came to an agreement to deal 30-year-old 2B Melito Báez, 24-year-old minor league 2B Bryant Dixon and $8,000,011 in cash to the Montana Pandas for nothing earlier today. The deal is expected to be formally announced later this evening. A check of his lifetime stats shows Báez has played in 612 games with a .275 batting average. Among his 632 hits are 74 home runs. He also has scored 321 runs and driven in 311 runs. |
