Barrón Has 33-Game Hitting Streak Wednesday, June 15th, 2044 The number just keeps getting higher. Buckhead shortstop Juan Barrón has now extended his hitting string to 33 games. He did it today with 3 hits in 5 at-bats as the Buckhead took the 7-4 win over the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC at Great Northern Field. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Thunder Bay manager Scott Williams said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Juan Barrón walked in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 9th. This season Barrón is batting .432 with 1 home run. He has scored 29 runs and driven in 17. |
