Christiaan Bunschoten Captures PAAA Outstanding Hitter Award Sunday, October 11th, 2043 At the age of 24, Christiaan Bunschoten of the Alaskan Humpbacks could very well have his best years ahead of him. It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2043 was good enough to win the third baseman the USPL Triple A Outstanding Hitter Award. "See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach." The top hitter put up a .331 batting average this year, as well as a .445 on-base percentage. He played 79 games and racked up 87 hits, 17 doubles, no triples, 20 home runs, 45 RBIs and 65 runs scored. He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Yoshiki Shimizu of the Syracuse Starks finished second in voting, while Pepe Savinon of the Syracuse Starks finished third.
