Mendoza Slaps 5 Hits Friday, June 8th, 2035 It was a sensational day at the plate for Carlos Mendoza as he led the charge to a 13-12 win over the Men. The Scranton third baseman was pure misery for the Florida pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Mendoza put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Brian Fowler, manager for the Men, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Carlos Mendoza singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 9th, walked in the 10th and singled in the 12th.
