SAAA Hands Out Reliever of the Year Award Thursday, October 6th, 2039 The manager of the Florida Men said he always had confidence handing the ball to Joseph Merle out of the bullpen. The 31-year-old was a dominant performer all year for Florida and his efforts have been rewarded with the USSL Triple A Reliever of the Year Award for 2039. The bullpen ace had an impressive 1.94 ERA this season, with 16 saves in 40 relief appearances. He fanned 20 batters in 51 innings and sported a record of 1 win and 5 losses. He received 8 first place votes out of a possible 10. Jerry Magee of the Tortolita Drummers finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Homer Boyd of the Sunset District Fog finished third.
