Félix Rivera Hurt, Will Miss Rest of Year
Wednesday, May 13th, 2037
The doctors have spoken and Félix Rivera of the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves didn't like what he heard. The 35-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Rivera sustained his season-ending injury during the Alloway Halberds game yesterday at Ballpark of Alloway. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Phoenix medical staff reported Rivera had a damaged elbow ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 10 months.

Rivera's record this season is 0-and-1 with no saves and a 6.35 ERA. He has given up 2 hits in 5.2 innings with 5 strikeouts.
