Season Ends for Xin-fang Zha of Redwood
Friday, July 11th, 2042
Redwood closer Xin-fang Zha could miss the remainder of the season because of a torn ulnar collateral ligament. He exited yesterday's Tulsa game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Zha would be out 11-12 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."

Looking at his pitching stats this season, Zha has made 4 relief appearances, pitched 57.2 innings and fashioned a 4-3 record with a 2.81 ERA. He has recorded 3 saves, struck out 34 and allowed opposing clubs to hit .211 when he is on the hill.
