No Hits for Davis, Streak Ends at 33 Friday, July 18th, 2042 All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for Nick Davis as he saw his 33-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 3 at-bats at the hands of the Redwood Rhinos. It wasn't all bad for the 19-year-old second baseman and the Ladue Rams however, as they defeated Redwood 4-0 at The Zoo. When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling Davis laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today." Davis is hitting .361 for the season with 4 home runs, 30 RBIs and 36 runs scored. He has 88 hits in 244 at-bats and played in 60 games. |
