Paynter Gone for Season in Surprise Friday, July 13th , 2046 The season is ending on a bad note for Corey Paynter, reliever for the Surprise Shockers. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Paynter was hurt against the Hicksville Hounds while throwing a pitch. He suffered bone chips in his elbow and will be out for at least 4 months. So far this year Paynter has delivered 1 save. In 25 relief appearances he has 16 strikeouts in 37.1 innings with a 4.58 ERA and 2 wins and 3 losses. |
