A 4-RBI performance from Júlio Cruz helped the Philadelphia Liberty beat the New Orleans Voodoo, 5-3. Earning his 8th save for Philadelphia was Bill Carson. The Liberty are off to an underwhelming start as they look to defend their championship, notching only their 9th win in 20 games.

Rhys Jeffes chipped in for Philadelphia, stroking a crucial run-scoring double in the bottom of the eighth inning. For the game, the left fielder went 2 for 4 with a double. He scored 2 times.
