Cruz K's 10 En Route to 3-1 Piranhas Win
|
Panama City starter Juan Cruz put the Memphis offense in a vise grip. The right-hander relied heavily on his curveball in leading the Piranhas to a 3-1 win. Panama City has a record of 52-41, placing them second in the Silver League.
Memphis could barely put a dent in Cruz. The right-hander tossed 96 pitches over 7 innings for the Piranhas, allowing only 2 hits.
"Juan -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Piranhas manager Brian Talamante. "He was the key to us winning."
