The Philadelphia Liberty got a marvelous performance from pitcher Al Ivey. The left-hander kept the Toronto offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 1-0 Philadelphia victory at Thunder Field. The 6th-place Liberty are now 48-45, the Thunder 51-42.

Ángelo Soto helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring single to give Philadelphia a 1-0 lead.

"I was a little disappointed," said Toronto manager Jordan Smith. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
