The Mexico City Blue Demons stopped the Echo Park Lakers, 7-5, at LA Forum. The Blue Demons got a big game from Gareth Kvernoey, who went 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The 8th-place Blue Demons improved to 45-50.

Kvernoey had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 1-1 cutter from Colt Cleveland, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Blue Demons a 7-5 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Kvernoey.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Kvernoey told the Mexico City Daily. "It's as simple as that."
